Product Information

The Classic is a smaller version of the earlier P2. The bracelet has the same adjustment links as others models with the same bracelet. The Classic was offered in many different models. First models, introduced in 1975, came with the 402 Auto-Set module. In late 1975 the 403 modules were introduced to this model.

Collector's Notes

Although the crystal (filter) is the same as in the P2 and P3, the case boarder is smaller making it a medium size watch. This model is popular with the collectors who like tradition in watch design.

There are a full mix of crystal types that were used in the Classic. From the standard mineralite to the laminated & gel-filled sapphire crystals. Both large and small Pulsar logos were utilized as well. Pulsar's largest dealer, Tiffany & Co. also marketed the full model lineup with their custom logo.

The Classic is one of two AC models to have the 403, DOW module. Along with displaying the date, it uniquely displays the Day Of the Week with two small vertical characters below the Date.

Because the Classic was never produced with the 401 Magnet Set module, no casebacks had the indentations for HR/MIN.

The Classic was not available with the 406, 24 Hour module.

The rarest are the 14k and 18k Solid Gold models.
